COVID-19 Update

UPDATE // Monday, March 23, 2020

COMMITMENT TO HEALTH AND SAFETY

As we continue to learn more about COVID-19, the entire world is in a state of adjustment. The same is true for Palmer Johnson Power Systems as we monitor the latest developments and adjust our business based on our core values, "We CARE about EACH OTHER" and "We CARE about our CUSTOMERS." The health of everyone is our number one concern as we try to find the best way to support our important customers.

OPEN TO SUPPORT "ESSENTIAL BUSINESS"

Several of our facilities are located in municipalities or states that have issued "Safer at Home" or "Stay at Home" orders limiting non-essential business operations. Palmer Johnson has reviewed all of these orders as they are released, and each has been following the U.S. Department of Homeland Security guideline regarding the definition of "Essential Business." Based on these guidelines, Palmer Johnson Power Systems supports several areas of essential business and therefor, can continue operating to support our customers. If there is ever a reason we need to close a location temporarily, we will alert all customers in that area immediately.

All sales and support teams started working from home last week. Customers should not have noticed this change based on our long term use of technology to allow working from any location. If there are any concerns, please let us know.

SHIPMENTS NORMAL - NEW BUILDING PROCEDURES

As we continue production and shipping operations at all locations, we are adding safety measures to protect our employees and customers. The changes to operations this week are:

  • Facility doors will be locked with a phone number to call to connect with the local Service Manager for any assistance
    • We want to eliminate people wandering into the building, but still support customers
  • Daily cleaning of all common areas
  • Social distancing in place for all onsite employees to limit exposure
  • Emergency plan in place for response to any positive tests

VENDOR RELATIONS STRONG

We are also staying in close contact with all of our vendors to monitor any potential disruptions in product supply. To date, we have not had interruption that will significantly alter our ability to deliver customer products. Still, we will continually monitor this and communicate any issues to the affected customers.

Thank you for your trust in Palmer Johnson Power Systems as we work through this situation. We look forward to continuing to serve your needs! We hope you and your loved ones stay healthy and that this passes in the near future.

Sincerely,
Craig Swenson, President

UPDATE // Tuesday, March 17, 2020

Palmer Johnson Power Systems Customers and Partners,

Palmer Johnson places the health and safety of our employees at the top of our priorities - always. Our recent accomplishment of 4 years of Safety Excellence was a result of this focus on our people. We plan to lead with this same focus as we as a company and a nation fight the Coronavirus COVID-19. We are continually monitoring the latest conditions and living our core values, “We CARE about EACH OTHER” and “We CARE about our CUSTOMERS,” as we determine the best way forward.

Beginning Monday, March 16th, all of Palmer Johnson’s Sales and Support teams began working from home. Over the last several years, Palmer Johnson developed a leading-edge technology platform to improve our customer experience. Being cloud-based has enabled our entire sales and support team to work remotely without interruption. We know that our customers depend upon us to keep their own businesses moving forward. We will continue to provide our customary high level of service throughout this worldwide crisis.

Our service teams will continue to work from our facilities in order to complete customer projects on time. We will take precautions and practice social distancing in order to keep everyone safe and healthy. Employees who show symptoms of COVID-19 will be required to stay home.

Our Warehouse teams will also continue to work under the same precautions in order to maintain our practice of same-day shipping on all orders for items we stock.

Palmer Johnson has also stopped all unnecessary travel until further notice. Our salespeople will continue to call on customers via phone or digital media, but will only make onsite visits for emergencies, and those will be pre-planned with safety steps in place.

Thank you for your trust in Palmer Johnson Power Systems. We look forward to continuing to serve your needs! We hope you and your loved ones stay healthy and that this passes in the near future.

Sincerely,
Craig Swenson, President
