Employee Spotlight - Steve Long

A Journey of Expertise and Dedication

At Palmer Johnson Power Systems, we take pride in recognizing the dedication and expertise of our team members. This month, we are shining the spotlight on Steve Long, who has been an invaluable part of our PJ family for over five years. From his time as a technician to his current role in sales, Steve’s journey is one of growth, commitment, and excellence.

Steve began his career at Palmer Johnson as a Technician, quickly proving his skill and dedication. His hard work earned him the title of Technician Rookie of the Year, and his expertise in both dual equipment and component repair led to an upgrade to Level III Technician. After 2.5 years in this role, Steve transitioned into sales, where he continues to make a significant impact.

Before joining Palmer Johnson, Steve spent seven years at JLG Service, gaining extensive experience in the industry. He worked for two years in the Afghan Reset Program, where he was promoted to Subject Matter Expert Shop Lead after just six months. He then spent three years as a Reconditioning Technician in Riverside, CA, followed by two years as a Service Manager, honing his leadership and customer service skills.

When Steve isn’t delivering exceptional service to our customers, he enjoys spending time outdoors and embracing his adventurous side. His hobbies include camping, shooting, fishing, and both motorcycle and bicycle riding.
